This morning I felt my husband arise from his sleep about three-five this morning. This morning he arose before me; since I can remember the Holy Spirit awakens me during the Fourth Watch, which is between 3:00 – 6:00 am. According to scripture this is the
Fourth Watch (The Morning Watch)
My husband (Steve) and I make it a point to pray together at least 2-3 times a week; we have done this for over 30 years. We know for a fact that praying together has helped us to survive the ups and downs and the turbulent times in our marriage.
There are actually eight (8) watches of prayer and each one has its own significance, however, the Lord has always chosen to awaken us during the fourth hour every morning, whether we pray by ourselves or pray together. The importance of the fourth watch is because it is the last watch of the night. During this time Satan’s agents have been out performing their destroying activities in our lives and are now returning to their bases. It is the time where most people are in their soundest sleep and are unaware of the diabolical and evil activity that has gone on around them during the third watch.
I DON’T WANT TO GET TO SPOOKY, SO LET ME GET TO THE POINT!
This is the time of the morning when the Israelites were delivered from slavery in Egypt (Exodus 12 and 14). This is also the time Jesus walked on the water to help the disciples who were caught in the storm (Matthew 14:25-33). This is the time when we pray to establish the course of our day by speaking God’s Word and breaking everything that would attempt to hinder the will of God for our lives. (Psalm 19:2).
He Commanded my morning!
The reason my husbands prayer was so special to me this morning, is because he started off the prayer, praying for me, making declarations that the enemy’s plans and strategies to fail in regards to me. He prayed that I would gain territory and establish the spirit of prosperity in all that I put my hand to. Steve set my day in place and covered me with the protection of the Lord and bound the enemy from trying to ruin my day. He set the atmosphere for our marriage, our finances, our children, our ministry and our business.
He gave my ministering angels their ORDERS for the day and COMMANDED the blessings of heaven down upon me!
Job 22:27-28 states, “You will also declare a thing and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways”
Thank you Baby! My day is set and I can run through troops and leap over walls.
HUSBANDS make your Prayer Decrees over your wife today:
Father, in Jesus’ Name…
- You have gone before me to prepare my way, to make the crooked way straight, and to make the rough way smooth. Father, I entrust my work to You and You cause my plans to succeed and everything I set my hands to do prospers (Proverbs 16:3). Father, today I have favor with all who look upon me and Your favor makes a circle around me, enclosing me and covering me like a shield. You will work out Your plans for my life because Your faithful love endures forever.
- I enforce Your plans and purpose for my life over and against the plans and purpose of Satan. Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you. You have no authority over my life. No weapon that is used against me will succeed, and anyone who speaks against me will be proven wrong because my vindication comes from God (Isaiah 54:17).
- You will defeat my enemies; they will come against me but scatter before me in seven directions! (Deuteronomy 28:7)
